If Ganguly becomes ICC chairman, I will appeal against the ban: Kaneria.

cricketer Danish Kaneria, who is facing match-fixing charges, has said that if
Sara Ganguly, currently head of the Indian Cricket Board, is elected chairman
of the International Cricket Council (ICC), he will appeal against the ban imposed
on him.
According to
IANS, Danish Kaneria has said that he wants Sara Ganguly to be elected ICC
chairman. In an
interview aired on India TV, he said he would appeal to the ICC in such a case.
He said he was confident the ICC would do everything possible to help him.
In response to
a question, Danish Kaneria said that Sara Ganguly had been the best cricketer.
He understands the nuances, so there is no better candidate for ICC chairman
than him. Danish Kaneria
also said that only Ganguly would be able to take the ICC forward as chairman.
He further
added, “his case will bear result only if Ganguly takes it and he won’t need
Pakistan Cricket Board’s help.” Soro Ganguly
has led the Indian team before MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli. He is currently the
President of the BCCI.
Danish Kaneria
was banned in 2012 on charges of spot-fixing while representing the British
county of Essex. League spinner Kaneria had denied the allegations but admitted
his guilt in 2018.

He understands the dimensions, so there is no better candidate for ICC chairman
than him.
Danish Kaneria, a right-arm leg spinner has represented
Pakistan at international level and has played 61 Test matches and 18 ODI’s for
Pakistan. He has taken 261 wickets and 15 wickets in test’s and odi’s
respectfully.
