Pakistan team Praised by these legend Cricketers.
After losing
the test series 0-1 from England after a span of ten years many former legends
and now commentators praised Pakistan Cricket for their tour to England in the
tough times of Covid-19 hit Pandemic.
Here are the words of praise for Pakistan
cricket team from these commentators:
Shane Warne
Legend Leg
Spinner and second highest wicket taker in test cricket Shane Warne showered
praise for young Pakistan team. He said that it was fantastic to see Pakistan
over here in England and playing, they should have won the first test match.
Warne quoted
that it is always exciting to watch Pakistan Cricket Playing on the field. They're
well captained by Azhar Ali as well and lovely to see the spinners doing well
especially Yasir shah but the fast young fast bowlers 17-year-old and 20-year-old
were treat to watch and it's a very exciting time for Pakistan cricket, he
further added.
Shane thinks
that Pakistan have got a very good side and a great off-field staff as well. So
all in all Pakistan after this tough tour here in tough conditions against a
quality bowling attack will learn lot and will become a lot better side moving
forward, he added.
Nasir Hossain
Former England
Captain and opener now turned commentator Nasir Hossain thanked Pakistan team
for their tour of UK. He said it was great that the Pakistan team came over and
having to make that decision to come over to England which was full of
corona virus would have been difficult for them.
Hossain quoted
that Pakistan played pretty well and maybe were one batsman short. He said that
the young fast bowling guns were good also. Hossain’s best moment of the series
was when Zach Crawley got his double hundred and he walked off the other day
every single Pakistan player went up to him and congratulated him, all the
legends on the balcony stood up and congratulated him and even the great Wasim Akram
in the commentary box gave him a little clap.
He
further added that the series has been played in good spirit and it's great to
have Pakistan over there, always a great team “one minute up next minute down”
but they are very watchable.
Michael Holding
Holding said Pakistan coming to England this year
looked pretty good at times I thought they would have won the first test match
they didn't end up winning that one i think they made a couple of mistakes in
the field but what I’ve been really been impressed with is the fast bowlers of
the young fast bowlers they have two fast bowlers one twenty one another seventeen
remember add those two ages together and they are still younger than Jimmy Anderson.
so give them some time they certainly have
some talent they'll develop and you have a good pair of our spoilers for the
future.
Michael Atherton
Former
England Cricketer and now famous commentator Michael Atherton thanked Pakistan
team for their tour. He said that we're all grateful to Pakistan for coming here
it's been very difficult for West Indies and Pakistan’s players throughout this
summer and to spend a lot of time in the bio secure bubble so we're very
grateful for them.
Atherton added
that Pakistan played competitive test cricket throughout, they're not going to
go away with a series win it's been difficult but I think the cricket has been
very competitive throughout, the high points would have been the hundred
yesterday from Azhar Ali brilliant 140 that showed his character and resilience
and difficult circumstances and clearly we've got some good young bowlers who
should see Pakistan going well into the future.
Isa Guha
Former England Women’s cricketer and now
commentator Isa Guha said that Pakistan showed a lot of character and it would
have been disappointing in that first test match especially when they probably
felt that they were in a winning position but Woakes and Buttler partnership
was incredible they played beautifully and saw them over the line.
She further added that for Pakistan the rain
and the bad light affected tha second game which could have been interesting.
Guha was really impressed by the bowlers especially Shaheen Shah and Mohammad
Abbas were outstanding, and she was also impressed with young quickie Nassim Shah
and said that he'll keep learning and he's got some incredible amazing people
around him to keep learning from as well.
She further showered praise for Yasir Shah describing
him a bubbly feisty character she loves watching him play and then when it came
to the batting Babar Azam looks super classy and Azhar Ali showed tremendous
character in the final test match witch was on the line and the captain himself
had huge pressure on his shoulders and he beautifully.
Mohammed Abbas was simply outstanding; I know
it ended up being a draw in the second test match but he was superb in that
game Isa added.
Pakistan team will now play three T20 matches against
England which will start from 28th of August. With experienced players
Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz, Fakhar Zaman and Imad Wasim and new Captain Babar
Azam who stands at no. 1 position in T20 batsman rankings pakistan are a tough
